We’re an online doctor service and currently one of the largest digital healthcare players in Europe offering fast, convenient and reliable access to advice, testing and treatment. Since 2011 we’ve provided 4 million paid consultations to patients across Germany, France, UK and Ireland but we want to do more. We want to break down barriers to health and provide accessible, dependable healthcare to even more patients. That means finding smart, curious people to help us significantly expand our services and patient offering as well as exploring how to support statutory healthcare systems.
About the role
We’re looking for a Senior Data Analyst with strong data interpretation skills to help define KPIs, drive performance, support tactical decisions and influence the product strategy with a compelling evidence-based narrative that’s engaging to both technical and non-technical people.
What can you expect from working with us?
Cross-functional collaboration – Our Senior Data Analysts sit within the Data team – a small but high-profile team within Zava’s larger Engineering community. As well as working closely with immediate colleagues, you will also work with individuals from across the organisation including our cross-functional product teams, consisting of Product Owner, UI / UX Designers, QA, Front and Back End Engineers.
Knowledge Sharing – We’re learning all the time (mostly from each other) because we don’t work in silos. We talk, teach and ask questions – sharing knowledge so that we can all develop new skills.
Make an impact – Leading a collaborative problem-solving process to define meaningful, relevant and easily understood KPIs around product performance, you will see the impact of your insights and the overall value to the business.
Trust and autonomy – You’ll have the freedom to manage your own schedule and will be trusted to run projects from end-to-end. A lot of analysis will be performed in SQL but you’ll also be given the flexibility to use other data tools such as Python and R – whatever you prefer using. We also welcome our employees to introduce new tools, experiences and ways of working.
Competitive salary, flexible working and other benefits – aside from salary we offer a company-wide bonus scheme, training budget, 10% R&D and learning time and flexible working (working pattern can be discussed). Our brand new, central London office has excellent transport links and every day we get free breakfast, fresh fruit and hot drinks, including amazing coffee served by our friendly barista. We’re also a dog friendly office.
Day-to-day the work will encompass:
Testing / experiments – Collaborating with others, you will carry out tests and experiments to better understand user behaviour. Utilising the data collected from these tests you will then support the product team by recommending product performance improvements. You will provide support on A/B and multivariate testing and also recommend other best-practice analytical techniques during the product development process.
Product Development – Analysing changes in product usage and performance, you will present insights to stakeholders and contribute to hypothesis generation around new or existing feature ideas. The insights you provide will ensure our product design is based on objective evidence that translates into real business value.
Reporting – You will identify tracking requirements for a range of projects and experiments and create tools and dashboards that break down the key drivers of product performance in interpretable and actionable ways. You will also help maintain our business intelligence tool (Looker) by adding new metrics in line with emerging areas of business interest and product development.
Inspiring others to love and use data – You will ultimately be responsible for understanding, and helping others understand, how to optimise our product for our patients and the business through effective storytelling.
