We’re looking for a talented Middle weight Editor join our South London based film production company, Pavilion Works.
You will be joining the core in-house team of 5, becoming a key member working on commercial and in-house projects. Our work environment is fast, creative and always striving to push ideas and concepts. Pavilion Works started in early 2017, since then we have amassed an array of clients working across commercial, music, fashion and documentary. In 2020 Pavilion Works launched their Film & TV arm of the company called PWO ( Pavilion Works Originals ). PWO is a place for films, makers and writers to develop projects for short and long form content.
The Editor role will enable you to grow with the company and have an impact on how we operate. You will work within a team that is pushing forward and looking to expand different areas. This is a full time position with an immediate start.
The role will involve:
Working closely with the in-house producers, other editors, creatives and external teams to deliver projects to final delivery. We also work with many independent directors and strongly encourage the development of the relationships between editors and directors. We’re looking for someone who will uphold the quality of work under the Pavilion Works name as well as look to break new creative grounds and bring their own ideas to the table.Pavilion Works is carving out a name for its self in the post production arena and this is a new chapter for the company. We are looking for a well versed editor who will help shape and expand the companies creativity and capabilities.
Our ideal candidate is a skilled editor that can take ownership of their work and collaborate well with others. You should have a talent for crafting engaging narratives and working to briefs. You should be well versed in the technical side of post production and have a sharp eye for aesthetics.
Ideal candidate will have:
3+ years in the industry, either employed or as a freelancer.
Been working as a fully fledged editor 1 / 2 years +
Previously worked at a production company, post production house or agency.
Must be passionate and see editing as their calling within the industry.
Editing original content including commercials, brand videos & documentaries.
Be able to craft strong and engaging narratives.
Working closely with producers, director and clients.
Able to handle different delivery specs for social, online and broadcast.
Basic sound mixing.
Good understanding of simple motion graphics.
Trying new editing techniques and staying on top of trends within the industry.
Speed on our edits is key as we work to tight deadlines.
Skills & Experience:
Ability to edit in Premiere Pro is a must.
Strong workflow and organisational skills.
Good ability with After Effects CC.
Have an understanding of basic colour correction, sound mixing.
