We are looking for a creative, front-end developer with strong UX experience, helping us as we created digital experiences for some global brands.
Working within the Creative team and reporting to our Creative Directors, you’ll be responsible for driving our digital efforts across desktop and mobile.
With a primary focus on taking existing designs and adding bleeding-edge front-end flair, you’ll work alongside our Strategy Director to optimise and grow our offering. You’ll have a remote tech team supporting you and will need to act as the bridge between our in-house design team and remote tech team.
In this role you will be:
Creating exceptional digital customer experiences by collaborating with creatives and developers throughout an agile process. Using data and insights to define effective solutions, impactful content and clearly rationalised design solutions.
Working directly with our Creative Directors and wider Creative Team to improve and evolve the Wildish & Co. digital presence across channels.
Assisting in driving new business by working with the Strategy Director team to define, develop and lead on our digital delivery process.
Working with the Creative Team to concept, produce and deliver on a range of digital experience for clients, big and small.
Together with our project manager, own the relationship with our remote tech team.
We’re reasonably flexible with these requirements, but we’d expect you to have something like…
3+ Years experience in-house or agency experience
Extensive knowledge of Semantic HTML and CSS.
A comprehensive understanding of web standards and accessibility.
Experience with Git and Github, or other source control tools
An interest in UX and designing for the web.
Great attention to detail.
Passionate about design and the web. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Developer to really make their mark in an established and rapidly growing agency.
You have a broad and flexible skillset/design approach – a desire to take on projects from creative conceptualisation to final polished artwork.
Are an expert user of digital design tools – Adobe Creative Suite essential (includingXD) and Figma – Sketch, Invision, Marvel deseriable. But also showing us what’s new & cool.
You have a strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JS & React and a strong interest in new technologies and processes.
You have a good understanding of mobile, iOS, Android.
Wordpress experience, ideally with some Shopify & WooCommerce experience too.
You have a good understanding of UI/ UX design principles
You have experience running User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and can facilitate UX workshops
Experience with testing and QA review process
You have experience creating high performing digital experiences.
You are a confident and effective communicator within your direct team and to the wider business
You are an independent manager of workload with experience working as part of an Agile process
You are inherently user-centric and data-driven in your design approach
You are a strong team player – both within the Design Team as well as with other areas of the business. Taking feedback constructively and effectively into processes as well as being able to bring a well considered design sensibility to other teams within the business.
Nice to Have
Animation and/or 3D skills in After Effects/ Cinema 4d are a highly desirable .
Experience in illustration would be advantageous
A genuine interest in creating something new & different for clients
Experience using a CSS preprocessor: Sass, Stylus, LESS etc.
Experience with modular CSS architecture: CSS modules, BEM, SMACSS, OOCSS etc.
An interest in Interaction Design and UX.
Creative flair and a good understanding of brand.
Experience developing for SEO.
