We’re an independent, award-winning creative agency.

We work with high-profile, global brands such as George at ASDA, Estee Lauder, Chivas, Corona, Budweiser, Paco Rabanne, BA Cityflyer and a bunch of others.

We’re pretty good at what we do. We’ve been nominated for two Agency of The Year(s) including The Drum DADI Agency of the Year in 2022. We were also shortlisted as Campaign Independent Agency of the Year and for two years running, made it onto Campaign Magazine’s 100 best places to work.

This year we have our sights set on a D&AD and/or Cannes Lion. Oh, but we’ve already won  silver at the British Arrow Awards.

There’s about 50 of us (not including the dogs) — but that number grows all the time because we’re still young, ambitious and do great work.

We’re also 70% female with a 50/50 gender split on the senior team. We proudly have 100% pay parity, and it kind of annoys us that we even have to mention that as something that’s unique within this industry.

Not surprisingly, this is a growing agency, so we’re looking for a Junior Researcher who wants to be part of, and help drive that growth.
As a Junior Researcher at Impero you will sit as part of the strategy team working on a variety of clients and markets as well as supporting ongoing research and cultural insights to help the agency keep their finger on the pulse.

The mission of the strategy team is not only to find smart answers to client’s tough problems but to make the creative output of the agency the best it can be. Projects range from brand led strategic positioning projects to opening up new growth occasions, shopper and creative insights as well as working on new business opportunities.

You will usually work with a strategist who will help distil the research further but, you will also be capable of leading your research tasks. Whilst much of the role relies on desk research, you will relish the opportunity to get out into the field to create your research as well as spend time crafting insights from the research done.

The role also requires you to design & conduct research that forms the foundation of our strategic responses to clients, as well as structure and analyse findings into clear, digestible and compelling presentations to communicate the trends and insights to both internal and external stakeholders.

We are also looking for someone with their finger firmly on the pulse of culture, we run our own next-gen research platform called The Move and this role would also cover looking after the social media accounts for the platform – this is a great opportunity to grow a community online.

You will be working in a creative agency which means plenty of opportunity to inform creative thinking and work alongside creative teams generating ideas. As a Junior Researcher you will also gain exposure to more of the strategic process and over time this will help you to help turn your research into more strategic outputs.
This is an entry level position so we’re more than happy to meet someone who has a curious mind and a thirst for knowledge who can learn on the job.

You will be tuned into the zeitgeist of culture and have a natural curiosity for understanding people’s behaviours and attitudes to inform insight, strategy and creative.

You might know what a creative agency does but are curious to understand how powerful insights can inform creative work.

This is an entry level position so a curious mind and thirst to learn is enough.
Interested in new methods to mine for insights.
Equally comfortable leading focus groups as well as working with quant research (you might not be fully trained, but you’ll ideally be a fast learner)
You will be a natural self-starter able to bring proactive thinking and use initiative to get things done.
Are organised and self-disciplined, with an ability to multi-task consistently and work to processes and deadlines.
You will relish the opportunity to thrive in a fast paced environment.
Are driven, motivated and have meticulous attention to detail.
Have a can-do attitude and a bit of the ol’ entrepreneurial spirit.
Are interested in being involved in the growth of the business as a whole.
Culture curious – you have a keen interest in key blogs, websites, social media etc. for keeping up to date with the latest cultural trends, insights and happenings.
Ability to communicate clearly (particularly when it comes to making research and findings actionable!)
A real team player – we need people who communicate well and regularly with the team, work collaboratively and are reliable
