Our agency

ifour is a growing creative design agency, working with a wide range of clients, from big international brands to smaller, local companies.

We’re based in Tunbridge Wells and although we are well placed to provide a high-quality service to clients in London and the South East most of our clients are international companies based all over the world.

We’re an innovative agency with a strong reputation for delivering beautiful and intelligent business solutions with inspiration and integrity.

The opportunity

The business has grown organically since we started trading in 2006. Most of our new business comes from recommendations. As we take the business to the next level and with the growing demand for motion graphics and 3D design, there is a pressing need to expand the interactive department.

We are looking for a talented Junior Motion Artist to join our team and work closely with the Interactive Design Lead to spearhead the future of motion at ifour, while also maintaining the quality of motion that ifour consistently provides. This individual will be eager to learn and passionate about the complexities of motion graphics. They will also have ambition – not only for themselves but, also to push the interactive department to new heights using their creativity.

Overall purpose of the role

Growth

In response to the growing demand for motion and moving image projects, we need a talented and ambitious person who will work directly with the Interactive Design Lead to create and manage ifour’s ever-expanding list of motion and video projects.

Collaboration

We are looking for someone who can not only transform ideas and storyboards from the Design team but also fully grasp the project brief and then communicate their own alternative creative solutions and concepts to reach the highest quality outcome on each project.

Autonomy

This individual will be confident and comfortable working independently and as a part of a wider team to meet the demand for motion and video within ifour. They will be capable of communicating clearly to the Interactive Design Lead, raising any concerns or potential issues around projects. Project ‘tickets’ will be coordinated collaboratively together to allow time to develop the highest quality outcomes while still working within budget and scope.

Flexibility

As demand continues to grow the post-holder will be flexible and ready to swap projects on the fly alongside the Interactive Design Lead if required. With multiple hands on each project this individual will be developed to work to and understand the clear industry standard of file structures and also develop projects with visual language that matches each clients needs.

Client work

● Creating original, beautiful and engaging motion graphics and videos for clients.

● Designing and producing animation, video and aiding with 3D marketing communications for our wide variety of clients.

● Proposing new video campaigns and concepts for both internal and external use that make ifour stand out from the competition.

Responsibilities

● Develop and be responsible for assigned video and motion projects, taking the concept from style frame storyboards through to the final product.

● Work closely with the Interactive Design Lead to manage the motion workload while also pushing for new creative and innovative practices to improve the creativity and quality of the final output.

● Be a proactive member of the team and keep up to date on new industry standard practices and software that can be utilised and developed through training.

● Work with the Interactive Design Lead and the project management team to ensure that projects are running smoothly and all issues around deliverables have been communicated internally and externally in a timely manner.

● Make a positive and imaginative contribution to the ongoing development of the agency’s culture, values and outlook.

Core skills

● Proven work experience as a motion designer.

● Good experience with After Effects. (experience of Premiere Pro would be an advantage)

● A working understanding of the wider Adobe Suite.

● Clear collaborative skills, being able to understand and act on feedback while also communicating clearly with your line manager new concepts and concerns.

● A strong grasp of and love for constructing narrative for moving image projects; the understanding of what makes a great story and the ability to craft one.

● Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills both independently and as part of a team.

● Have an understanding of movement, sound, colours, typography and layout.

● Be an adaptable individual, taking the time to integrate and understand the ifour industry standard motion workflow.

● A great team-player with excellent interpersonal skills
